Open Science Grid

Open Science Grid in general:

SLAC supports Open Science Grid. Users interested in using OSG resource at SLAC should make arrangement with SLAC about the usage. Please send e-mail to osg-support@slac.stanford.edu for OSG related issues. An Open Science Grid User Guide is available at the International Virtual Data Grid Laboratory.

The ATLAS resource at the Western Tier 2 OSG infrastructure:

• ATLAS releases are installed by Xin Zhao of Brookhaven National Lab Tier 1 center. The Western Tier 2 Center is not responsible to the releases installed for ATLAS production. Interactive SLAC computer users are recommended not to use these releases.
• The Western Tier 2 supports US ATLAS production jobs and distributed analysis jobs via Panda. The US ATLAS has several analysis support centers and provides a Guide for Physics Analysis at U.S. ATLAS.
• Panda monitoring page lists the ATLAS datasets available at the Western Tier 2 site.
• A Grid User HyperNews Forum is available for discussions of Grid jobs at SLAC.
